Ooh I love the solo jerseys. I don't think you could go too far wrong with any of the Classique range, but of those you posted, I'd go with the England one.

Also, I believe they are currently working on an Ireland one.

#1 looks best of the three.
#2 looks like a Wexford jersey.

Since you're the man with Centaur on your hack commuter bike, may I suggest one of these?

Pot, Kettle, Black me thinks :-) ....

Rapha is great stuff but I'l wait till I got into their shop, Condor Cycles, when I am next in London to buy something from them. The Solo tops work out about e75 from alwaysriding which seems a better deal.

I'll definately send you a pic or me in rapha on the hack ;)

If you are not already a member of the Boards Festina train I think you need to jump on board before you start buying any of your fancy retro kit.

?? Not sure I understand but if your referring to boards gear I have just organised an order and my kit should arrive in a month.

No, I'm talking about the unofficial Boards kit, namely a 1998 Festina jersey. All the cool kids have one.

Perhaps as we prepare to sashay from Winter to Spring, a sticky Fashion thread is in order.

    I can't believe I just posted that

    I like the first one.

I have s Fat-Cyclist jersey from twin-six. It's a nice looking jersey but, to be honest, the quality ain't great. the material's a bit thin, and the bottom doesn't have any gripper stuff on the inside which means the jersey (which is a touch small for me, I'll admit) tends to ride up, giving me a fetching belly-top look. I, of course, can pull this look off, many others can't.

Thats all i need. My wife called me Borat this morning when I tried on a new pair of bib tights. She'll be running about the place laughing and shouting, "Who ate all the pies....you ate all the pies"

Thanks for the point about quality though top stuff. I'm only worried the solo one may be two warm

Just took delivery of my Rapha 3/4 length bib shorts. Christ they are so bloddy comfy, I could wear them everywhere.
If their jerseys are as comfy as the shorts, go for rapha.

    Spares?

I can't bring my self to buy it. Cheap though...... its seems I don't like the thought of the drugs culture it reminds me of.

Rapha stuff looks savage, I want a pair of those nice leather gloves!

I think i list of websites where you can get cycling clothing might not be a bad idea!

Used bibs? Ugh. Although I think Tiny bought a pair. Anyway, that one is the wrong colour.

"Neither has ever been worn, so are in NEW condition", if you believe that.

Probably too big for me, and the ad says US delivery only.

It's the wrong era -the best one is the '98, which is white, not blueish iirc :)

I did indeed, and lovely they are too (if I could bring myself to wear them...)

In classic eBay style, I was cunningly misled:

"Here is a set, jersey and bibs from the infamous Festina cycling team that blew apart the 1998 Tour de France".

I'm the sort of person who buys a Ferrari from eBay for $1000, only to find it's a picture of a Ferrari.

Wrong year, you need the white kit with navy trim:

How much would you take for that ferrari?

Do you get any street credits for having a festina watch, or is it purely a jersey thing?

    It's gotta be the jersey.

Not too mad on the "nipple" buttons on the front of that rapha shirt.

Lovely, but no back pockets, and the Euro deductions for a saddle bag would cancel the gains from the Rapha. Maybe it's supposed to be paired with a bonk bag or musette, both of which look a bit roomy for a long ride.
