Mods, if you're not happy with this being here feel free to move it, I know it's not a personal problem but it's a topic that comes up here all the time so I thought I'd stick this up.

Often people are looking for advice here on how to deal with girls, how to ask them out etc. and generally someone posts saying "Don't text, ring!" Just wanted to support that advice. I've just started seeing a guy, and last night we were meeting up with a group of mutual friends, and I texted him to enquire about the arrangements. A few minutes later, he rang.

I can not tell you how much that SINGLE move impressed me and a friend I was with. Literally, in that one foul swoop he went up about a million times in my estimation. After I hung up, the first thing out of my mouth (and my friends) was "Very impressive." We both repeated it about 10 times. Hours later, we were still saying to each other, "Wow. That was so impressive." Guys, don't text, ring!
