    Hey,

I feel really stressed out lately and have booked off a week at the end of March. I was thinking of going on a retreat and was wondering if anyone heard of good retreat centres in Ireland or the UK?

    Really need your help,

    mwaters.

The only retreats I have heard of are religious in connotation. If that is your flavour, then you will be able to get details from the churches.

In 6th year in school, we went to Chrysalis in Wicklow. Wasn't too heavy on the religion, which was great as it would have put me right off. Was pretty good. Although that was ten years ago now. Have no idea what it's like now.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you're feeling stressed. A week off is a good idea, and I really hope it does the trick for you. I don't know anything about Cloona Centre, I just read about it recently. Hope you find what you're looking for

Don't know either if this is what you had in mind, sent the mother here for a few days for her birthday, she came away feeling like a new woman, said it was grand being by herself, it was so relaxing and she could really feel her mind freeing up after a few days!

Its not just about going for treatments, the yoga and walks and stuff are really good! You don't need to bother with that if its not what you're there for!

I know there is one is Leitrim where you can actually sign up for some sort of program for a few days, or just take one of their retreat cabins. It's called Ardnahoo http://www.ardnahoo.com/
