    Howdy,

    I've been using www.carbonmade.com to showcase my work online for nearly a year, and its absolutely brilliant, so easy to use and stuff. BUT...I've run out of space (35 images) and in order to get more images onto it I'd have to pay $12 a month...about 8 euro?
    I do think it would be worth it but my credit card isn't speaking to me and e8 a month is e90 a year....SO I was wondering, before my credit card breaks up with me, what does everyone else use to showcase their stuff? I tried deviantart and it was pants, and I've tried using a load of images in a blogger journal but it just looks messy.
    Ideally I'd like to know Dreamweaver and Fireworks and all that $hite to make a professional looking website....but all I know is Photoshop and Illustrator.

    So, art nerds of the boards, do tell, what do you use? :pac:

    If you really want to do it I'd probably say

    Domain Name (8 quid) + Hosting (anywhere from 20 - 60 quid) + Wordpress install + the right template for the job (no idea if this is good) http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/f8-lite

    Doesn't matter then how many images you've got ... you're also building up your own site as opposed to others...

    learning curve ... hopefully not that high

    Check out indexhibit. You could get cheap hosting, a domain and install that for free. It's work out about 50 a year which is much better.

    Or just limit yourself to your 35 best pieces. Chances are no one's going to look at more than that number anyway.

    I'd recommend Behance. It's a good portfolio site and it acts s a networking site for designers to share their work with each other.

    This is my Behance portfolio, I use it as well as my website;

    http://www.behance.net/kelvinwins

    That should give you an idea of what the site displays like.

    Best of luck.

    Yeah Behance is free. Highly recommend. It's like Carbonmade but better as it allows you to network with others and get feedback on your work.
