    research,find out if there are are any special requirements ,business plan,register business name or company,advertise ,

    Dunno about the bailiff thing, but afaik debt collection isn't regulated in Ireland, all you need to do is set up a company or sole trader by filling out the relevant forms with the CRO and away you go...

    I would say that Depth Collection is certainly heavy regulated, not perhaps by the government but certain individuals. I only can assume that by the time you collected a couple of depth somebody will knock on your door.

    I said this before but one of my mates has a friend who got into this business and it wasn't too long before he turned up at the wrong address, (the debtor was a nephew of the well known crinimal), and had a gun shoved into his mouth and warned if he ever came back he would have his head blown off.

    In current times, with even kids running around with guns and shooting people dead, you'd want to have your head examined to get into this OP...
