Trek frames

    can you buy treks as frame/forks alone?

    Someone mentioned to me that dealer's are told they can't sell them unless they're complete bikes. Is that really the case??

    Evans sell them as a frame but Trek do not allow their products to be sold online

    Thats actually not a bad price at all for an absolute top of the range frame.

    I've never seen anything below Madone level for sale as just a frame. Similarly, I don't think Specialized generally do frames other than at S-Works level.

    I have read about exceptions being made in the case of someone who owns a lower level bike wanting to buy a replacement for a crash-damaged frame, but that's just anecdotal etc. so I don't know how much truth there is to it.
