VOIP on mobile

    Hi there

    Im new to VOIP just wondering is there any provider that I can get or any sw I can install that will let me make free calls to Irish mobiles and landlines over VOIP?

    In a word..... no.

    Free calls to mobiles do not exist. What's more, because of Comreg Irish operators will not charge less than 16c / min peak. That can go up to as high as 27c depending on the network or as low as 8c off peak.

    Using Operators outside Ireland it is possible to get calls to Irish mobiles for 10c / min or less.

    It doesn't make a lot of sense but that's comreg for you.

    Yes but not all of them do. Also skype only works with skype. So you don't get the benefits of other voip providers. On the plus side Skype calls tend to be very stable.
