    Hi Guys,

Sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it anywhere..

I enjoy playing online poker, but I cannot use my Laser card ( Don't ask ) and I do not have a credit card...

My question is, can you just go into Ladbrokes or Paddy Powers and top up your online account using cash?

can you then go back into Ladbrokes or Paddy Powers and withdraw your winnings ( should you be lucky enuf ).....

    Appreciate your answers!

AFAIK you can deposit in the bookies but you will withdraw by cheque sent to your address.

Paddypower and Boyle both allow you to put money on and take money out of your account from their shops, no idea about Ladbrookes. As far as I know Paddypower you need to wait to withdraw and Boyles you can just walk in and instantly take money out of your account but I could well be wrong on that I don't use either.

You can withdraw money from Boyles in the shops. You need an id and your account no. to do it. You can top up in the shops also.

You could go to your bank and ask for a once off number give them money for it. Then go online and deposit on neteller then to a site you wont have a problem moving money anymore.

Neteller are/were OK but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who isn't completely sure that their current bank is completely cool with them, which sounds like it might defeat the porpoise for the OP (alternatively, it's all over the web today that the Irish banks have said you can feck off for a mortgage if you use your bank account for gambling, so it may be that).

They (neteller) have a habit of randomly freezing accounts, asking for ID and asking how many cents/pence they're putting into your bank account as a test next week.

Boyle's for the win in this case.

The ID is just to stop money laundering and will be required with nearly any Poker account at one point or another, and the penny/cents thing is just to make sure the account is linked, they're not all that bad really, having said that, I haven't bothered sending Neteller my details since they last asked, and haven't used them in over a year, but those hurdles aren't all that mental, but certainly Boyles/ PPP sound better options for the OP

    Fair points Ste.

I used them a lot until recently.

I should also have mentioned that their exchange rate commissions and withdrawal fees are getting worse over time.

Edit : forgot to say. Not sure if you have William Hills south of the invisible line on the map, but you can deposit and cash out in their shops and if you sign up through an affiliate and deposit before they move to ipoker next week, you get to keep their 30% rakeback + monthly bonus.

Not bigging up neteller or anything but i find them great i contacted them maybe 2 years ago to change my account to USD$ ( as most sites use this )and they did no problem had to do the details thing and all but i seriously wouldnt feel right having my money somewhere that didnt do these checks, the only time i get a fee now would be taking money of that to my bank account. And from what it looks like there 'prorbabaly' a whole lot cleaner than the daily banks we use. Just an opinion if i get stung that'll change!

    Edit

Im pretty sure that this is not complety right you wont get guarnteed rakeback as its against there terms you would be put on the top VIP level id imagine dunno how big the % would be if your a high grinder its probably much better than 30% if not it could be lower.

Thats wrong rakeline, as is standard in these situations anyone with rakeback gets to keep it, got an email off WH last week to see did I want to keep it or move to vip points.

If you asked me about Neteller a year ago I'd have been very positive, but things have changed.

Withdrawal to bank account has gone from £1 to £5

Foreign exchange from 1.75% (or possibly 1.95%?) to 2.95%

Monthly inactivity fee for not using their card if you have one from 0 to £2

Thanks for the replies guys. I went with Paddy Power in the end. I got a very helpfull man on IM through Paddy Power online Poker and he informed me that I could just create an account. Bring my username into any Paddy Power shop and ask them to topup my Sportsbook account to whatever I wanted. Then Login and transfer my funds from sportsbook to my Poker account. Simple as pie and have been working away since.

    Sweet!!! :)

    Thanks again!
