Dabs.ie - To be or not to be?

    Hey all,
    Been looking through some horror stories and some not so.... horror...ful (?) from Dabs.ie.

    I would like to hear some reviews from boards.ie members on their dealings with Dabs, preferably about their delivery services (something about a security check which slows delivery? )

    Need an answer as I might be choosing dabs4work.ie as a supplier.

    I've dealt with Dabs plenty of times before (english site and more recently the Irish one) and never had a problem.

    Every now and then they send an email verification, but a simple reply is all that is needed.



    So Far, they are fast and reliable and the waiting times are generally correct, from my experience.



    I'd recommend them, but the only thing i don't like is buying products from outside Ireland- i'd prefer to keep the cash inside ireland, but not at irish prices :)

    The security check is on the first time you order, they usually just want some proof that you are who you say you are. Adds about 3-5 days to your first delivery.

    Have used Dabs.ie at least six times and never had a problem. Last time they requested an address check due I think to my credit card expiry date having changed. Updated credit card expiry date on their website and responded to address check after which all was OK again.

    Hope this tells you all you need to know about dabs.ie

    Have ordered over 3k worth of stuff from Dabs over the last 2 years, only one item became faulty and it was during waranty period. Used their online return functionality and it allowed me to pick date and place for a courier to pick up the item. Courier picked it up and 5 days later they refunded my credit card as they could not repair or replace it.

    So to sum up, I have never had a bad experience with Dabs and have always been impressed with service and speed of delivery.

    so far. I had one warranty claim which was handled quickly and efficiently.

    You will see a few Dabs horror stories on various forums. Most of them are
    related to dodgy courier service from Parcelforce/GLS.

    Bought off dabs 4/5 times, never had one problem. got my stuff in 3-4 days after purchase

    Have ordered from Dabs a few times, and wasn't picked for the additional security check, but I do use Verified By Visa, so that might have something to do with it.

    Did have one issue with delivery, GLS lost the parcel. To be honest, I think GLS is the week link, and if possible, you should consider a different delivery agent.
