Had the NCT today and I need to replace the back axle bushes and a CV boot on a rover 400. I will be arranging to have it sorted at the weekend and would be grateful for any idea of what I can expect to pay for the job. I realise the parts wont be terribly expensive but have no idea about the labour involved.

Hey Tipp. Well I can't advise on price of parts for rover but can give you a rough idea. Axle bushings for a car I did took bout 45mins and cv boot the same easy job to do both if they can access the bushings easy should be ok. 2 hours max to do job. Parts for a old Citroen I did where 15quid pair bushings or may have been each. CV 20quid. (sterling)

    Hope this helps.

But not big job! Be grand!

Cheers for the reply Cammy sorry took so long getting back. Turned out I needed brake pads as well as cv boot and axle bushes. Cost 290 euro, 180 euro of it was labour.

Your Grand! That was not a bad price at all. You certainly were not ripped off. Glad it all sorted.
