Printer won't work

I'm tearing my hair out, trying to print off some important stuff for work tomorrow and my printer has decided to mess me around. Everything connected as usual, lights on the printer, when I try to print, it tells me 'printer offline' even though it obviously isn't. When I press the button next to 'start copy', it prints a copy of the first thing I ever printed with this printer. How on earth is this happening? Obviously the printer is connected and working, but why isn't it printing what I want it to print?

You never stated if its a ink jet printer or Laser printer. I assume its laser so its likely all you need to do is place a blank piece of paper and go through the setup guide again or reset the Printer, it gets the measurments from the A4.
