    I drive a 2002 Honda Civic TypeR - EP3, 2L.

Currently insured with XS Direct, fine for getting you on the road but its a absolute basic no frills policy.

I'm 28 with 3 years ncb. Last time my insurance was up I called 5 companies, went through the whole thing, only to be told they do not insure my car, grrrr

Anyone know off hand who will insure it?
I was looking on www.insure.ie and they will only insure it if it is completely unmodified including car audio. Only mods on my car is Head Unit, Exhaust and Induction Kit.

Any suggestions? Who are you guys insured with?
    Thanks

Quinn Direct should quote you. Also try 123.ie

123.ie dont insure jap imports though (is it jap or uk spec ep3?) and quinn will give you the whole you have to be 30 story.

You may have to go down the 3 refusal letters route to force a quote out of them

Also ring insure.ie, there online system wont quote for modifications at all however if you ring them they may give you a quote based on the modifications

I can honestly say your enot alone on this mate. I am 28 also, with 5 years NCB 7 years full license and had the very same problems as yourself when I had my ep3. The only company that would quote me, was Hibernian and It was made clear to me that they were only doing so because I was an existing customer and also the TPF&T was the only option available. Nobody else would even entertain a call from me, not even Quinn (Im not sure why these guys get so much publicity as a company that will insure younger people on high powered cars.its simply not the case.)

You will be very lucky to get a quote from any of the bigger companies, even at the age youre at right now. The three quotes then refusal, will probably be the only route you can follow right now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but youre probably well aware of this by now.

AXA Insurance for high powered cars?

I think your talking through your ass S.I.R.

Ive been through all the Insurance Companies for quotes on high powered cars and nobody wants to know.

Im with Quinn and the Insurance is dirt cheap but I would rather find someone else. The only other company I know of is Britton Insurance and they are based in Donegal.

Nah they don't have to if they don't feel like it! Quinn will say ya gotta be over 30, but if you have an existing policy with em they'll quote you. I know a fella that had an Evo 3 insured with Quinn when he was 21 but he was paying about 4500!

123.ie might quote and try First Ireland, the only 2 companies to quote me on a Teg

i just got a huge engined car... 2 years NCB and 1 year named NCB... FBD were the best.. at 1100 quinn who im with wouldent take the van insurance i had last year as full insurance.. so they wanted 3 grand...

they were also the soundest people ive ever talked to on the phone... i was going to go with them anyway because of that... ( it was only 70 euro worse than insure.ie at 1700 but had forgot to tell them about my 1 year named driving.. )
