April I heard. If he gets through a few games for the Falcons I really hope he's the Lions out-half.

    2000-2003 form, yes please.

A situation like 2005 Lions, your grand thanks.

He needs to show a semblance of form unlike last time where it was-if he gets through a couple of games unscathed then he's in.

In fairness to him he played extremely well at the start of the season before his injury. His goal kicking was sublime and he was hitting the odd drop goal.

He's the only tackling OH the Lion's got, id say if he goes get him on the mid week team and see how he does, leave the first test spot to someone else.

That said though his place at OH for the Falcons is hardly secure with Tom May (such a under rated player, Newcastle runs through his blood) having some great storming performances at number 10!

    Lets be real.

Jonny will be fit again when Nelson gets his eye back.

He must be the most injury prone player in the world. Pity because he could have been one of the all time greats, but IMO he has not played long enough to warrant it.

What? Most people say that he is the best OH to ever play the game and changed completely what a OH was capable of and what they should be capable of. Who in your own opinion is better then him?

It's pretty sickening to think just how many points JW would of racked up if he stayed injury free. The same for Dan Carter, if he keeps on trucking the way he is, I suppose with the rate the NZ produce new talent it's always alot harder to keep your place.

Not ever to play the game. But in the Pro era, only carter or jenkins would rival him.

Being injured most of the time should be factored into how well you are rated as an OH, particularly if your team is so dependant on one individual to get you going forward.

I would rate Jonny very highly, but the fact that he is missing through injury when he is most needed (no matter how good he is at tackling) is a big minus in my opinion. His kicking is brialliant. Not too sure about his games management though.

I haven't seen Jonny play with the new ELVs yet? How is he coping?

I thought Jonny said he was never going to play international rugby again? And that he found new peace in religion?

Anyway, for the Lions sake, i really hope he comes back to full fitness soon, id rather him over Cipriani any day of the week.

Great player on his day but lets be honest here. There is no way that any player, who has been out for as long as he has, should be selected never mind playing for the Lions people.

Its over people, he's not the same player he was in 2000 - 2003. The starting outhalf will probably be Stephen Jones backed up by ROG.
