    Who was it so?

Obviously TO wasnt the only problem in Dallas, see Pacman and Jerry Jones, but he caused a huge amount of problems in the locker room near the end of the season which screwed up their chance of getting into the playoffs.

I agree with this. There is a difference between passionate players who want to win and pure egotistical aholes and TO falls into the later. The fact he publically ridiculed Clark and Romo doesnt show alot for his character. TO once again wasnt getting his way and his ego has failed him yet again.

IMO, he was cursed by the fact that it's happened to him before. Half of the stories about him this year were leaks, the kind of stuff that goes on between every wide receiver and their QB and OC when they're not winning, but that only becomes big news when it's TO. He was committed as hell to that Cowboys team. He even cried for his quarterback :D

I hate the Cowboys though. And the Redskins. And the Giants. And everything about Philadelphia except hoping McNabb stings the fans, every game. That's a hard division to love, too much money and too much spotlight.

It looks like the only team interest in him is raiders, ****ing typical. First good off-season in god knows how long and Al goes and ****s it up.

“I think it takes more than one person to make it a bad locker room, if you will,” linebacker Greg Ellis said Thursday on Sirius Radio. Tackle Jay Ratliff told KTBB-AM in Texas that Owens was “the fall guy.”

Jones is looking like becoming Al Davis v2.0

TO aint the reason the Cowboys have been such ****-ups last few seasons and when they epic fail again next season it will be interesting to see who the new fall guy is. Parcells was right to get out of that town.

To me Romo is the real problem. Petulant, full of excuses. Two years ago it was him blaming Gurode and screaming like a b word when he messed up. This year it was him throwing stupid passes to witten and then when they get beat "collapsing" in the showers with his ribs, nothing being heard afterwards. As somebody who has had ribs mashed, it hurts, damn right but you don't fall down like that. He's a true drama queen.

He's been signed by the Bills now.

Suffice to say I don't think anyone saw that coming at all:eek:

My god in heaven. Me O is gone to the Bills. Dick Jauron must be really desperate to sign this cancer.

I hope that Trent Edwards doesn't start to overthrow TO or else TO will throw his toys out of the pram early on.

im not TO's biggest fan personality wise, but he is still, at 35 years of age a very productive WR, the Bills seems like a starnge one but it could turn out to be a good decision, i will reserve judgement until the end of the season, im sure it wouldnt have been Owens first choice which in itself says that there wasnt a whole lot of interest in him, heard the Redskins were interested but it never materialised

TO was an easy scapegoat for the cowboys last year, he was not the only problem and to be honest he hah a point when he was in Romo's ear, numerous occasions Romo forced a bad pass that was never really on in Wittens direction when TO was open.....

Romo is the real cancer in Dallas imo, he is not a young QB anymore, he has a few seasons under his belt and he has never impressed passed November in a season

He has let the team down over the past few years but has blamed those around him and because of his aw shucks persona he gets alot of protection

Even TO backed him 2 years ago in that now infamous crying interview when it was clearly Romo who had failed to deliver on the big stage.......

as i hate the cowboys im quite happy for this to go on for another 10 years however! but dont be fooled by the spin....TO was no the reason for the cowboys failure, he did his job on the field, check the stats

Kryogen I concur on all of that, and I too despise the Cowboys.

TO's older. I genuinely don't think people see that Cowboys TO was a different guy to Eagles TO. He learned his lesson. He complained about ball distribution IN HOUSE (not to the press) - and it was surely partially because the Cowboys weren't playing well. He also saw himself replaced halfway through the season and didn't go off on one too badly.

I think he'll be fine in Buffalo. One year contract, established quarterback and potent offense.

I don't think it's as simple as just shifting the whole blame onto Romo, because he is a decent quarterback, but if the Cowboys think being "Romo-friendly" as in, apparently, just passing short and making sure no-one else gets an opinion - is the answer, that's stupid because you're laying your whole team on the shoulders of someone who's not THAT good.

Jaysis i stopped paying attention to NFL news for about a week and this happens. I think its a downward spiral for T.O now.

Safety, Roy Williams was also released after 7 years with the Cowboys. Not that this would eclipse TO's departure

As one of the few Cowboys fans on this board, I admit that I am very much in two minds. As has been mentioned, Owens' record speaks for itself. He was superb in 2007/2008, and he was a very easy scapegoat for the Romo&Witten show, which cost the Cowboy's any chance of a 2009 P/O spot.

I hope this speeds up the development of Martellus Bennett. I still regret the departure of Anthony Fasano last season. If I had a choice, the entire Witten, Romo, and TO axis would have been released after last season.

    My take on this:

TO is a tool simple as. He is one of these guys who IS good and knows it but is a cocky prick and can't keep his mouth closed even for one second. He has proven time and time again that he can't keep his opinion to himself. Now we all know he didn't destroy the Cowboys. The Cowboys destroyed the Cowboys. Romo didnt help and Jerry Jones certainly doesnt help in his mad ways.

TO if he could only keep his mouth shut would be a class player but the sad fact is alot of his team mates grow to dislike him.

TO is still a good receiver, and the Bills will be better with him than without win. He'll still be the same TO, but the Bills now have a much better offense, their running game should benefit greatly as TO is a very good blocker.I hope he does well, as the Bills will do well, and that means he Patsies wont.Cowboys will still suck, so no worries there.

Surely the fact that he took a one year contract for very average money on a team that already has a number 1 proves that he just wants to play. He hasn't got long to win a Super Bowl. He blocks for the run, he chases down interceptions, he's exemplary in training camp.

If the Bills are going to have a problem next year, it'll be Marshawn Lynch's fault.

On a side-note though... Drew Rosenhaus and "mouthy player" seem to go together quite a lot in the NFL...

See the thing is there is two types of mouthy players and one is good and one is bad. No one doubts TO's passion and heart and want to play. But he is one of these guys that we all have encountered while playing sport were his mouth just keeps going and going and going and added with negativity of any sort always gets up the backs of others around him. Take Randy Moss he went to the Patriots and realised that its put and shut up time.

How many times did people say that about Randy Moss? Maybe not a similar scale but remember how eager the Raiders were to get rid of him? The raiders!!

All TO's positional coaches love him and pretty much everyone admits that no one works harder in training or practice. At the time of the Owens/McNabb split there was at least as many players backing Owens.

Move makes sense financially for Buffalo too. They need a star to get a little of the spotlight and there's no doubt that with TO they'll get more national TV coverage now.

Obviously its not guaranteed to work out but if Owens can be as productive as ever, and help that young Buffalo team, it'll be called a masterstroke.

If not, he'll be gone next year. Thats a gamble I'd be willing to make

Yeah, I mean, it gives them a legitimate threat across from Lee Evans, and a reason for people to care about the Buffalo Bills who have got to be one of the least storied teams in the NFL. And it's only a year. Can't go too badly wrong.

I totally agree with you as I have said you cannot fault his work ethic at all as he is by far one of the most dedicated players on any field as is Randy Moss. But its their mouths that constantly rub fellow players up the wrong way. Look at Moss when he went to the Patriots. He has used his mouth positively now and I hope TO does the same thing now Buffalo have given him the oppurtunity. Moss and TO in the AFC east going to be a fun division this year. Finally 4 strong teams for once. Better football is always a plus.

Damn, was actually hoping the Patriots would pick him up as a third receiver. We'd have given him a great chance to win a superbowl. He might have shut up his mouth long enough to have one productive season.
