Social Welfare Inspector: What Can I Expect?

I have a social welfare inspector calling out to the house in the next couple of weeks. I am still living with my parents. What kind of questions can i expect of myself, and of my parents? They are, understandably, not too keen on divulging personal information to a stranger, be it an employee of the state or not.

    Any input would be appreciated.

Not being nosey but what age are you OP??

I ask cos if you are under 24/25 they take your parents earnings into account. If your over this age you or your parents shouldnt worry to much as they wont be asking them anything or accessing them for your claim.

    Heard this alright. I'm 24.

As an alternate situation i am considering moving in with my brother. Will not be paying rent, as i ain't got no money! Would my moving in (and not paying rent) affect any claims he may have?
