Is this on any channel in UK or Ireland? First episode was pretty poor apart from Justin Timberlake's impressions.

impressions start at about 6 minutes

Nope, CNBC Europe stopped showing Late Night a few weeks ago.

First episode wasn't as bad as I expected, and the second was a big improvement. Far better than Conan when he started, people forget how nervous and bad he was.

I miss Conan though, he's not starting The Tonight Show until June. I hope CNBC Europe don't shaft him again in favor of showing Jay Leno's new show when that starts later in the year...

So Conan O'Brien is taking over Jay Leno's show..why only for a few months ?

The First episode was ok. DeNiro was a terrible guest. He didn't make it easy for Jimmy. The bit about blonde Mothers at the start was bad and had no punchline. Second show was much better.

    The Roots are amazing too.

Conan is the new host of The Tonight Show, he takes over in June.

Leno is getting a new show, in primetime before the tonight show in September.

Basically, a few years back, NBC promised Conan The Tonight Show in 2009, but then Jay had second thoughts about retiring. To stop him moving to another network (ABC were mentioned a lot), which would be catastrophic for NBC (It'd be Letterman all over again!) and also to cut costs, as talk shows are cheap to produce, they decided to replace an hour of primetime programming with a new talkshow.

I attended one of his screeners in New York a few weeks back. He was a bit nervous then, a bit unsure of the format. He is really likeable though, and I can see him growing on people.

The Roots were really great. So full of energy. They really make the show

While hes definetly not up to Conans standard yet, Conan at the start of his late night stint in 1993 was very much a rough diamond also.Time will tell I guess wheather they will stick with Fallon, surely he must be safe for the next 3/4 years at least.
