    Hi,

I was driving to blessington yesterday on the fairhouse too Britas road, when very quickly hails stones followed by snow starting falling and in under 2 minutes everything was completely covered with snow and ice....very little traction at all....

Anyways I was going up an incline and not getting very far with the traction control so just tried turning it off....got no where at all with that so put it back on again....

However it wouldn't let me turn it back on and came up with the abs and break alert along with traction warning lights....

This means a complete failure in abs and anti lock breaks....

I managed too drive out of the place in 2nd gear and eventually pulled over and stopped for while, turned off the engine... put it back on and no more warning lights and the traction control and breaks where working again.

I'm wondering should I get the system checked or is this just a once off failure of the system. I'm thinking maybe the breaks heated up too much and it turned the system off too prevent damage but not sure.
