ntl analogue (+booster) to digital

Hi I currently have basic ntl in my house. I have a booster in the attic to spread the signal to a few bedrooms. if i wish to upgrade to ntl digital what are my options? Does the instalation guy have to come into the house? Can i still use the booster with the digital signal? Thanks
