I'm just wondering would i be better off heading up to the north to get a ring, to save myself a few bob. Thinking of spending around 2500 euro. Would i get more for my money up there?

    Thanks anyone!

I dunno about up north but you should check out dejoria.co.uk. we used them recently and they were 100% brilliant! rep of ireland is definitely a rip off and you get much better value in uk. with your budget you'll get an amazing ring in dejoria or probably anywhere other than here!!
places here have little knowledge of certificates and real quality diamonds. you are also charged for their cost of rent / insurance - so avoid here at all costs!!!
i don't mean to be advertising the place but I can safely say it is far better value than anything else we looked at. you know exactly what you're getting and you can choose depending on budget etc.

We got our wedding rings in Faller's in Derry, Noel there is really helpful and they have a website with a good selection of rings on it. Check out any websites before you go.

Definitely, was so disappointed with the rings in a Southern Ireland jewellers, miniscule. Ended up getting a gorgeous ring and seen a similar one (4C's) in Dundrum for about 3 times the price
