The first 'Splashworld 10', 10k run takes place in Tramore on Sunday April 5th @ 12.30pm. Should be a good one on a scenic course, with music enroute to add to the atmosphere and all for a good cause (Order of Malta)

Sounds good, a run in Tramore. where's the course?

The 10k (and 7k walk) starts and finishes at Splashworld. The run leaves Splashworld, crosses the main road and goes up lower branch road to the Vee cafe. Then a good challenge up main street, left onto Priest road and out past the Spar and on towards Rocketts. A left before Rocketts takes you round by the metalman, then down by the Guillamenes along Cliff road and all the way back to Splashworld via Gallweys hill. Check the course map @ www.balance.ie

    That's a busy day for 10k.

The Great ireland Run 10k takes place in the Phoenix Park on 5th April.

The UCC 10k takes place in Cork also on 5th April.

Its going to be a tough (but very scenic) one but will more than likely do it as its only 10 minutes away from the house.

Typical! I agreed to do my first proper 10k race (I don't count last year's mini marathon as I hadn't trained at all for that and it took me a long time!) ont he 5th April at the Great Ireland Run and now my hometown decides to organise one! :( Although probably better the locals don't see me killing myself trying to get up main street!:P
