Hi Can anyone give me an idea as to what to do. I work for these people in their home the money is quite good and the work is fine. Its just I am treated badely at times made feel unwelcome silence etc I have tried to ask if something is wrong just get gruff answer (what would be wrong etc)and snapped at times. also sarcasm.
In these present times I know I am lucky to have a job but whats going on upsets me alot what should I do:(

Growing tired of seeing this on every similar thread but maybe that's just me. Over 90% of the workforce is at work.
Turn it around, they are lucky to have you :)

But realy there isn't enough info in your post to see what the problem is.
Talk to main person on this, the person who pays your wages.
Ask for feedback and for suggestions on where they want you to improve on.
If you disagree then say so then with them

    2 choices.
    Leave or suck it up.
Once they arent mistreating you ie underpaying, excessive hours, dangerous conditions and just being quasi dicks there arent alot of options apart from the 2 above IMO.

Doesnt sound like you should stay as you are and not say anything - two choices - either line yourself up with another job and tell them to stuff it or sit down and tell them what going wrong. Personally I would never work in a situation where people think they are allowed to treat you however they wish just becuase they pay you.

I had the same thing - until last week ..... finally quit and not doing too bad working for myself !!!

even when I told my boss I was being bullied at work - he said I was letting myself be bullied..... I left it go for another year until last week ...now .. Im working for myself and (fingers crossed) earning the same or more money !!!

Hi Thank you all for replys. I feel very annoyed with myself for not standing up for myself. I need to make up my mind exactely what I am going to do and stick with my decesion. I am thinking of how to give in my notice. feel I should give a reason why I am leaving

I think working for a family business is the problem - I was in a similar situation and the husband & wife used to treat me like an untrustworthy intruder who was only trying to leech money out of them rather than a hard working employee. I dont think it's a problem that will go away for you - they wont change, from personal experience. Unfortunately new jobs arent out there now but if you could leave, you should.

I have been in a very similar situation as you, I think. I worked in people's homes as a personal assistant and a home help type person so if you want to PM me feel free. I was sick for weeks thinking about how to leave and what to say but it was the best thing I ever did and I was sorry I stayed as long as I had almost lost my self respect! So leave, and send me a message if you need support
