Yet another budget thread...

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering about these new holes in the budget every other week?
What I mean is for the last few months all the government statements sound like a broken record. This thing down suchandsuch percent from this time last year, that thing suchandsuch below expectation.
Now right from the start half the stuff they said made me think there's a bunch of six year olds in charge. For instance the stamp duty figures and house sale based VAT figures and VRT figures. Of course they were down but they surely didn't expect them to stay at these levels, right? Especially not after the collapse was more than just on the horizon. But yet the wording of the official statements made me think of someone standing in complete awe, open mouth, staring at the figures and wondering how the hell this happened.
Then I was thinking surely now they have to adjust expectations but yet again the same scenario. The figures for the first two months of 2009 are out and they're down 'from this time last year', surprise, surprise. If I hear 'this time last year' one more time I'm going to have a rage attack.
Of course they're fkn down. October was bad, November was brutal, December was worse. Guess what was going to happen with January and February. They didn't expect everything to recover miraculously in January and February and whoops we are back to 2008 tax takes, did they? Well I didn't and I bet you didn't bet yet the people we pay to run this place sound like a child the day after christmas wondering why there is no presents yet again. Wtf is going on?

Ah Jesus realcam, not another one! Can you do Pighead a favour and edit your post and write about something else. Anything else. Do rabbits sing and dance when humans aren't looking? Is it possible for a person with small hands to have large feet? Is positivity a better trait than being a pervert?

There's at least a trillion topics open for discusiion that don't involve our dodgy politicians. It's like back when Pighead was a kid and his mate Anthony got a brand new pair of Nike runners. For weeks he was banging on about the bloody Nikes and how fast they made him run, how they made him more popular with the ladies, how he wore them to bed, blah blah fcuking blah.

We were absolutely bored shitless hearing about his stupid Nike's so one day we overpowered him and took his Nike's off his feet and threw them into a nearby bog and made him watch as they sank downwards never to be seen again. He never ever spoke about those Nike runners again. Because we threw him in after them.

That actually felt good to get that all out. Pighead and his pals haven't spoken about that since 1986. Anyway moral of the story is, if you speak about the same topic over and over again, people will get angry and throw you into a fast sinking bog which will almost certainly kill you

No offence old boy but Pighead has absolutely no idea what you are talking about. What's melted? Your feet? Is that why you can't walk?

This recession is going to drive me to insanity. Can we not have one big miserable thread merged from all the individual ones so that we can slightly escape this recession when browsing AH

What it is Pighead, is old boy likes the cut of yore jib ... he would very much like it if you could see yore way clear to lobbing some politicians into a bog. As would we all.

If you like, you could take off their shoes beforehand and taunt them as you see fit.

I would pay money to see that.

Ah thank you trout. That makes perfect sense now. Sincerest apologies old boy for failing to understand your post. Pighead blames his tired eyes and his stupid fat head.

This must be the worst thread ever :o

In fairness to the government things are changing for the worst on a daily basis, it's hard to keep up. We are badly exposed to international events so control is difficult to exercise.

Nonsense realcam. You're being way too hard on yourself. There's been at least 7500 ****tier threads than this during Pigheads time in After Hours. At least your one had good spelling and words with more than 4 letters.

Anyway lets not let this thread go to waste. Lets find out a bit about you. In your own time answer these three questions.

1/ Lady GaGa is in the process of dividing the nation with her ever so catchy tunes and uber confident look. What side of the GaGa fence are you sitting on. Is she the real deal or an annoying cow?

2/ Do you tell your friends that you post on an internet bulletin board? Do they mock you? If so have you considered retiring from the genre?

3/ Out of all the girls on boards that you've noticed posting, which one smells the nicest in your head?

    3 interesting questions

Doubt it very much that anyone will ever look at this thread again ever, but why not...

Lady Gaga. Until you mentioned her I never heard about her which will already tell you something about me. I used to be big into music but thats quite a while ago. Now I guess running the rat race has caught up on me and I havent a clue whats going on. Looked her up quickly on the interweb and I guess she's someone I would like very much. Must get some of her stuff and most importantly check her videos to see what she looks like.

Edit: Looked at some of her stuff and I wouldnt like it. Not my kind of music at all.

Interboards. Yes, sure why not. Been on the bloody interweb (usenet etc) since early nineties (yes I'm that old) nothing to be shamed of.

Board girls. Not sure really, MIN seems nice or PinkFluffyBunny but I guess I'm shallow like most guys so if she has a sexy avatar and what she writes sounds a little brainy and is bit on my wavelength she has won me over. Dudess seams also cool but she seems to have an opinion on everything and can be a little patronizing, bit like myself really, and you know its opposites who attract...

    Thanks. :)

Don't think there's anything wrong with that.
and can be a little patronizing
    Unintentional. :)
