If diesel engine has a leak (probably oil leak ) would it be covered under warranty. This started about a year ago as a bit of fluid on side of engine block they replaced a hose they said was leaking, but since then it seems yo have got worse. Also can I request them to carry out a full inspection before the warranty expires FOC.

If there is an oil leak, yes they would generally have to cover it. Is this a manufacturer warranty or garage warranty.
I dont know where this idea of free inspections came from? Ive never heard of it apart from on here. Id be surprised if any garage do this. Isnt this what a service is for(apart from the oil change)

If your warranty is not a manufacturer warranty, I would have a service and general inspection carried out at another garage. They would give ya an honest view of any work required. You could then put that to the warranty garage.

They definitely wont pay the cost of finding the leak. After that its down to luck. Id guess no if its a gradual slow leak. Hope its something simple.

Hi it is a bit tricky with used car warranty but you will be covered. If it was a new car warranty then you would have everything looked at and repaired. With used car warranties they only cover so much like they wont cover wear and tear and fascias and etc. As it is a leak and part of the engine I think they will check this but check the warranty with the vehicle first. I know engine parts are covered under used car warranty. What car is it btw?
