I've been trying to set up my Myzone account with my Apple Mail one, following the instructions and so on, but no joy so far.

The FAQ on ISS says it can be done, but ain't gettin nowhere.

Anyone else done this, know how it works?

Are you looking for IMAP or POP access?

I dont use if for incoming... only for outgoing mail that I want to send from it (to lecturers and the like) but the settings below should work....

Email Address: your full tcd email address
    Incoming Mail Server: pop.googlemail.com
Username: Your full tcd email, including the @tcd.ie
    Password: Your myzone password

For outgoing server, click the list and select edit server list,
Create a new outgoing server with the plus button

    Server Name: smtp.googlemail.com
    Under Advanced:
    Use custom port, 465
    Use SSL
    Authentication: Password
Username: Your full tcd email, including the @tcd.ie
    Password: your myzone password

    Click ok

In the advanced tab of where the incoming server stuff is
    Down the bottom
Set the port to 995 and tick the SSL box
    Select password as the authentication

This wont work in college, all of the pop ports are blocked i think..

It will work on your internet connection at home, or on a 3G modem etc...

No, MyZone email address is not tied to college password. Hard to see how Google would be interested in my college password anyway.
