No Signal in other Rooms?

I have sky + installed, but have a tv in the playroom to which I have just connected a DVD/VCR player. I never had TV channels in any of the bedrooms, neither upstairs or downstairs (RENTED HSE BTW), but all wiring is done, as I checked up in the attic.

Sky wires coming in (2) are connected directly to the sky box (routed through the attic for whatever reason but not connected to anything else). Beside the exit points for the SKY wires which go into the sky box, is another wire, which I believe to be the RTE ariel wire, should this be connected to the RF Out 1 or RF Out 2 perhaps?.........

The RTE and TV3 Ariels are connected to a booster in the attic and one wire is coming out going to an 8 way splitter. The splitter then is feeding all the other rooms.

Therefore this seems to be intact.

What am I missing? Why can't I get a peep or a flickr on any of the screens when tuning them in, in other rooms that is?:(:(

A Sky Digibox doesn't need an aerial unless you want to combine the aerial signals with the selected Sky channel to pipe round the house. In this case, connect the UHF (not VHF) aerial to the Digibox aerial input and connect the Digibox RF out to the distribution amplifier input. If you want to use a "magic eye" remote extender, you have to connect to RF2 and use a SkyLink compatible amplifier.

I know it doesn't need an ariel but why don't the other TV's which are not linked to the sky + box/system/dish etc get a signal from the RTE/TV3 ariel to which they are linked to?

Surley I dont need to do all the above just to get the basic 7 channels (not sky as this is no good unless I can change channels in each room which I understand can be done with a magic eye - thats for another time)....

    Cheers:confused:
