    Hi Folks,
Was it ever possible to buy an Intel Mac with 512Mb of RAM?
I know you could buy a PPC iMac with that amount, but not so sure about Intel.

    Cheers!

The first Intel based Mac Mini and Macbook were shipped having 2x256Mb sticks pre installed as factory standard. Some of the first line of Macbook Pro's shipped with a base option of one 512mb stick; I think this was only shipped on the 1.83 Ghz processor

Yeah I had one of the first Intel mini's with 2 x 256Mb

Just upgraded recently to 2Gb as it is my media centre for all my movies and music etc..

Tricky to install the RAM yourself but there are step by step guides on the net to show you how.
