    Hello everyone

as the time comes to buy new tyres for the car :) I figured I mite as well get some nice Alloys+Tyre package . what i'm looking for are the AMG alloys (genuine or replicas) (new or used) like these ones here http://www.carshine.com.au/Wheels/Wheels%20-%20AMG%20W210-202%20Style2%2017-18in.jpg

does anyone know where i could source those alloys, coz so far i cudnt find any place that would sell them(gooogle), ???? or if anyone has such alloys for sale with good tyres on them I wouldnt mind either. Preferably 18" :)

    thanks a lot

Where are you based and are you willing to travel?
Callaghan's in Burt, Donegal (google it) seem to sell every size of almost all replica wheels you could want. Dunno if they have a website but i know they do offer a service of shipping throughout the country...... Worth giving them a shout

Whats the spec? Offset, width etc. You can't just throw on any old 18" wheels.

That style is the Aero monoblock 2

If your going to callaghans might be worth a nip over ......

However, I have used callaghans before and found them to be good price wise ;)

i rang up callaghans but your man did not know what alloy wheels I was on about so he told me to send him a picture via phone, so i did this and he hasnt came bak to me at all...if they dont have them they could at least let me kno...anyways i went to this websites:
    www.autoalloys.com
    www.alloywheelsni.com

but no-one has the Aero II monoblocks, they have other amg replicas at class prices but i think the Aero II suit best w210

IIRC, I paid around 650 for a 17 inch + tyres -> OZ superleggera style replica, for an STI Impreza.

Id expect, the AMG ones you mentioned would be 850e or more.

    Try these too..

Prepare to have your ar$e pummeled and your back put out with 18" alloys on, ride quality goes out the door when you start sticking the large wheels on. My opinion of course. But had 18" on my S go shot of them straight away and stuck back on the 16".

Ya 18'' will be a bit of a pain alirght, but they will look oh so very well. I love monoblocks. Do throw up some pics OP when they're on.

Try pricing them in Mercedes:P, cheap wheels are exactly that, cheap.

Isn't that in Mercedes? Ie. through AMG who made them in the first place?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 206 ✭✭pablosd

yeah AMG made them but u can buy their bits in merc dealerships as AMG is their official tuner...prices are mad tho.....yeah defo will throw up some pics with the wheels on, i'll probably get them next month or so, as i have 1 week holiday abroad coming up:p
yeah i am aware that ride quality will suffer:(....but 17' monoblocks dont look as well, and those mercs look well only with 18's upwards

that is how it will look like with the monoblocks II :D unreal :D my 210 is same color...

They are my favorite alloys of all time, they look really classy without been too flash. Subtle looks.

Agree about the 18" having a harsh ride, they came with my 320d, MV2 reps, and ive had 3 punctures, 1 i had to replace the tyre, in less than 1500 miles!
They do look the part though and set the car off really well, but they are in rough enough condition, i think if i come to the point of getting them refurbished id think about getting 17" for it instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,661 ✭✭✭Voodoomelon

You want the best of both worlds, 18"s with monster 255/35 tyres. ;)

I love those monoblock style rims too, get some pics up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 206 ✭✭pablosd

hahahaha 18" with 255, looks unreal but slows down the car :( yeah i kno i love the monoblocks since i ve seen them first time :) i mite actually get 17" 235 and drop it 20mm, might look nice as well actually ;) without sacrificing that much power ;)
