    i cannot believe they use this as criteria to not give you a mortgage.
    surely once you have money coming in on a regular basis and have a good credit rating you should be treated the same.

    whats the difference between sticking 50 euro on your card topping up betfair and sticking 50 euro on your card on a pair of nike's.

    as least you might get a return on the betfair 50!!!

    Whilst the article is up for debate (not really sure it's relevant for this forum) purely having money coming in on a regular basis should never be used alone as a parameter for mortgage approval. Regular outgoings be that for a car loan, online gambling or living expenses should all be treated the same, something which I can't see is ground breaking news as this article would lead you to believe it's always been the case.
