Do banks still accept bags of change?

Sorry if this is in the completely wrong place but basically I've got a huge tin of coins and I counted them and put them into change bags but one of my friends told me that banks wouldn't take these little bags of coins anymore. Can anyone tell me if banks will accept them or is my friend talking crap?

They do if they are in the banks bags and are correctly filled - ie 10 euro bag of 20c pieces etc.
