Job seekers vrs Dole

    Whats the difference?

I was just made redundant (I had less than 2 years service so it was only a good will gesture) and I want to apply for the dole or something until I find a new job. More than likely the job i'll go for is TEFL, teaching english to people around the world. Would I be better off going for the dole or job seekers or what?

I understand you need at least 2 years of work to qualify for job seekers. I have about 19 months full time and about 9 years part time previous to that where I never paid tax (while in school/college). Would this qualify me do you know?

    Thanks,
    Simon.
