    Hi All

How can a Wood Stove be determined to ‘burn wood only’. I have talked to numerous suppliers of Wood stoves and they state their stoves are for wood burning only but they are quiet vague on facts.

What info is required to determine this?

I need to use a wood stove for a secondary space heating source for a new dwelling I'm doing a BER on so as to meet the renewable energy requirement along with some solar thermal.

I've tried SEI (still waiting for a response) and my training provider but still cant get a definitive answer.

    From the DEAP manual:

    ‘10.3.3

    Solid fuel systems

If the heating appliance is designed to burn only a wood fuel, i.e. if its design is such as to prohibit the

use of any other fuel type, then the appropriate wood fuel type should be selected. Otherwise a wood

    fuel should not be selected.’
