    Did anyone see them?

I quite enjoyed it, it was great stage set if nothing else.

Robert Smith from the Cure won the God Like Genius award.

There was an atrocious rendition of a Blondie song (was it Call Me?) by Franz Ferdinand and some lady.

Of interest was Friendly Fires and for the first time on stage for 9 years , Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon ... but, oh, did it sound it?

Never the less, I'd forgotten what a great song This is a Low is.

There's life in the ole guitar music dog yet.

i was nearly crying with joy.

i had the good fortune to meet robert on a sunday afternoon when i was working in an emprty pub in crawley and the he's a gentleman with absolutly no problem sitting there drinking and talking with me for a good 2 hours. (admittadly i did buy him a drink or two.. but he bought some back!

sometimes when you meet your heros they turn out to be great people.. unlike a certain sullen mancuncian singer with a quiff
