    Hi

Does anyone know of any accountancy software packages that use SQL Server or Microsoft Access as its database.

I need to be able to read and write to the Database - any help would be much appreciated

    Cheers

    Hi Doyler442

Sage 200 use SQL as its Database. Sage 50 will be migrating to mysql in about two years

Pegasus Opera use foxpro not sure of other packages

You will need the SDK to get access to Sage or any of them in that case. I connect here to Sage, Tas, Quickbooks, Exchequer, Twinfields.
I use SDK's to get access to all of the packages.

Dynamics by Microsoft - Great Plains - Navision
    Epicor - e back office
    Access Accounts - 500 version

    all use SQL

Generally - mid level packages aimed at medium sized companies use SQL
smaller packages normally have their own database technology - bigger systems usually favour oracle

My company supplies an Accounting/ERP package that uses SQL. See my profile for more details.

Advertising of Services and Goods to be done through adverts.ie

However contacting other boards members through PM I believe is allowed.
