Kenny Egan - WTF?

Anybody else sick of hearing about this clown? Every bloody radio station and rag newspaper seem to have an obsession with him the last few days because he failed to turn up for a few publicity events including Tubridy Tonight.The media are now following his every move on Twitter as this is his preferred mode of communication with the outside world as apparently he's sick of the glare of the media :rolleyes:

FFS. He won a silver medal in the Olympics (well done!) but hadnt heard a peep out of him since then till this weekend. Gift Grub are making him out to be famous for scoring women more so than the olympic feat LOL.Don't mean the guy any harm or ill feeling but surely theres more newsworthy stuff FFS.

Have to agree with you there.

That's what happens when the laddish and chavvie culture takes over.

I would have a lot more sympathy for a poor man or woman trying to rear a family who had lost hes/her job than Kenneth.

Not that I'm dissin' the lad personally, seems a nice guy,but bit of perspective and reality is called for I think.

where are they leaning on the two goody and egan dear god im sure that there are more important things going on atm then the two of them. I have nothing againest jade but everytime i open a paper there is a pic of her you would swear she is the only person every to be dying from cancer. as for egan fame i wont say came easy but came suddenly. hands up who had heard of him before bejing. Now he is being seen in all the big club that were prob "regualars only" to him only a year or less ago

His Russian Chinese opponent is surely punching a bag that lights up red numbers that increase throughout the monatage whilst receiving loads of steroid injections.

I for one can't wait till he comes back to knock his opponent out in the last round and we all get a blast of eye of the Tiger.

As for Egan. I've no probs with the guy himself. He's a bit of fun and seems like a nice enough fella who put in a lot of work to get to where he is.

Not his fault the rest of the Olympians were useless so the media made a big thing over him. It is a bit weird missing a fight and a scheduled tv appearance without letting anyone know so that's a story. It's certainly better than watching a chavette die or listening to the banks go down the tubes.

Hope he continues and gets the gold in London

The previous poster who called the Silver "a code for loosers" has no idea of how difficult it is even to QUALIFY for the Olympics.

Personally I prefer my army officers to make their mark on the battlefield, not in Krystle Nightclub.
