Numeric Keypad on PC Keyboard not Working.

I'm using a HP desktop pc and recently I can't use the numeric keypad on my keyboard. I had a search and couldn't come up with anything. Numlock has been pressed and it makes no difference, it seems to be acting like a cursor (scrolling around the screen).

I've tried using both a p/s2 and usb keyboard but it makes no difference. Top row of numbers on keyboard are still working though.

Anyone have any ideas before I do an XP reinstall?

Sounds like scroll lock is turned on.

    It maybe mouse keys either.

Shortcut is left ALT + left SHIFT + NUM LOCK keys.
