Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Can anyone give me some useful phrases that I could lern that I might need to use while over there.

    Ok I will give you some basic phrases, if you want anything specific just ask!

    Buongiorno - Hello (usually until lunch time)
    Buonasera -Hello (after lunch)
    Arriverderci - Goodbye
    Grazie Lei - Thankyou (polite form, shops, hotels etc)
    Per favore - please
    Scusi, sto cercando X - Excuse me, I am looking for X
    Sinistra - Left
    Destra - Right
    Sempre diritto - Keep going straight
    Quanto costa? - How much is it?
    Permesso! - Excuse me, permit me, used when trying to pass through or by people
    Sono Irlandese - I am Irish
    Non parlo Italiano, parla Inglese? - I don't speak Italian, do you speak English?
    Certo! - Sure!
    Siamo 4? - When looking for a table, we are 4 people?
    Una birra per favore! - A beer please!

    In Venice you should try the Spritz, it is the typical drink made with prosecco, aperol and soda, it's yummy!!
