    hi all,
    can anyone tell me when the right time of year is to prun roses??:confused:

    Before end March and depending on variety, some you can cut back hard to as low as 150mm-200mm / 6"-9".

    Now is ok but check the forecast for frosty spells. Its better if you can wait towards the end of March; and Google your rose variety for more detailed pruning instructions.

    I have some rose bushes that have started sprouting new shoots/leafs - would it still be ok to prune them around this time ?
