Hi need advice. I backed into a parked taxi last week, left a small dent in the door. Left my name and number on the windshield. He called me last week and i asked him to go get a quote and i will sort him out. He comes back with a high quote and loss of earning, a figure plucked out of the sky. Any suggestions what i should do next? i don't mind paying for the damage but he is acting the Bo""£"£x

You can't ask for legal advice here but motors forum would be a good place to get answers

How can you be sure the loss of earnings figure is accurate? Maybe ask to see his tax return, taxi drivers are reknown for their honestly in declaring their taxable income ;)
