Pop ups telling me I have a virus!!

I have Norton anti virus installed, have always used it never any problems until today. Annoying pop ups all day telling me I have a virus and it starts running this scan, only way I can cancel it is by turning off my computer. An hour later ,same thing.
Pop ups are blocked. In the middle of something an up it pops. I know its not a genuine virus removal programme.
Oh!, I'm not any way a techy like you guys, so I need replies in English. Blooming just happened again, and I had to rewrite all this for the second time.:mad:

Can you give me the name of the fake anti virus program thats popping up with this message? It will make it easier to advise you on how to remove it.

Download malwarebytes http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button - when installed run a detailed scan, when finished and the scan may take over an hour removed the infected files and then restart your computer.

Sounds like antispyware2009 google the fixes for that, might help.
