Printing question

I have a few documents-all around 30-40 pages long that i would like to print. I want to print them in a booklet format-as in put 2 pages on 1 sheet of A4 and be able to fold it in half and staple it in the centre-to make in to a booklet. (does that make sense?!)

How can I do this? I have a normal pc with an inkjet printer, or an apple mac. Do I need some sort of special program or printer as i've messed around with various settings and cant seem to get it done.

    Thanks for your help

If the document is word 2003.

    "File", "page setup", "Margins" tab,

    "Pages" section,

Change "Multiple pages:" drop down to Book fold.

I can also do it in my printer settings but that would be printer specific.

For me its, right click on your local printer,

    Select "printer preferences"

    Select "finishing"

Change pages per sheet to "2 pages per sheet"
