Still no sign of her yet in the new series. I know she went to Jacob's cabin, where Locke encountered her talking with her father (also Jack's Dad) but she is still yet to make an appearance and whatever made her leave to go to the cabin was also compelling enough for her to abandon her son.

    Any thoughts?

Emily Raven will be back full-time next season so I guess we'll find out then. For now all we know is that Claire is spending some quality time with Daddy-Shephard and his new friend Jacob. Personally I thought she (and Christian) looked possessed last season. Something similar seemed to happen to Rousseau's husband this season as well.

I always loved the concept behind the behaviour of the pod people in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The idea was also echoed in the Anna Sheridan/Z'ha'dum storyline in Babylon 5. The person/loved one is not really dead but they are not really alive either. It's very creepy and interesting. Claire and Christian's creepy behaviour reminded me a lot of this.

I don't know if that's where the writers are heading with all of this, but Claire's abandonment of Aaron definitely suggests to me that she is not *really* Claire anymore.

i thought she would at least make an apperance this season, and return to the show proper in season 6. i hope that the issue of what happened to her and where she's gone is addressed some way this season, even if she doesn't actually star in an episode.

now that jack is back on the island with the knowledge that claire is his sister, surely he will try find out where she's gone so we might get answers to her whereabouts then.

As far as i know, Emilie de Ravin is pregnant and thats why she wont be in season 5. I guess that would be pretty hard to explain in the show!

I wouldn't rule out an appearance in a cliffhanger at the end of the last episode of Season 5 maybe?

I have my own little theory about Claire after watching episode 508 - LeFleur..
So it seems that babies can be born on the island at the moment but now that Kate has come back to the island I'm thinking new bad ass witch Claire is gonna be pissed that she didn't keep hold of Aaron and curse the inhabitants of the island so the mother and child die while pregnant.
