Car going through NCT at end of week, do i need to bring log book with me too test?

It's not essential once you have your confirmation letter.

I did my NCT about a month ago and was never asked for it. I brought it though since it said to have it on the letter. Might not be a bad idea to have it with you just on the off chance that they want it.

You're supposed to have it but they don't actually need. Name and reg number will do

Did the nct two weeks ago and was never asked for it after I handed in the confirmation letter, I'd bring it just in case.

OP here, I have misplaced my Log Book, so was wondering do i need to get a new one issued or just take a chance on it. NCT centre is in BallyMun!

I too have misplaced my VLC and had my car in for the NCT on Saturday. They did not ask for it just make sure to bring your confirmation letter.

Most of the time they won't ask for it. The only reason we are told to bring it is that the tester is supposed to verify the chassis number of the car, but most don't bother.
