    Hi,

I am buying a new house but it is not yet wired, mains etc. The house itself will be wired as standard with basic coax for ntl however nltl have yet to offer a service in the estate. This may mean that my only option will be sky.

So seeing as I can prewire the house can anyone please accurately advise on the type of cabling I will need to run from the attic to my sitting room (and others) to allow for an easy install of sky + hd at some time in the future.

I'm presuming the standard coax used for cable wont suffice?

WF100. It's worth paying a little extra for quality.
    See http://www.glodark.com/cable.htm

Cable TV uses frequencies below 1 GHz. Satellite TV LNBs output frequencies up to 2.2GHz. Check the specification very carefully if you use anything other than the "proper" cable.

Go to an independent satellite installer and get him/her involved from the start.
They'll advise you the best options regarding dish location, cabling and distribution.
