How to Link up UPC Modem and TV

    Hello,

I got UPC 20MB broadband into my house a couple of weeks ago. We decided at the time we didn't want TV, but saved a bit of cash and now want to hook it up. Someone moved in who has an old UPC box and UPC says the house is ready for it. I can't be bothered taking a day off to sit and wait for the engineer, so i've told them i'll hook it up myself.

    My question arises here -

The NTL point in the wall has 2 outlets - RV and Fm.

At the minute, my cable modem is connected to the RV. So how to i hook both my UPC box and the cable modem up to the 1 NTL point? Do i need a splitter or can the signal go the box first and then into the modem?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!

An old box wont just work... UPC will insist on an engineer coming out to install a box....

    To answer your question:
Both would need to be connected to the RF out socket.

I think you can connect the cable modem to the output from the box (Im not sure but Im sure someone else will)
