iPod Touch Problem

    Hello Tech Forum.

    Yesterday I decided I would upgrade my iPod Touch 1G from 1.1.4 To FW 2.2 . I decided I would use the "Erase all content and settings" option. Low and behold, After 20 Minutes, The PC still Won't recognize it.

    The iPod is in the Silver Apple Booting Screen, And Occasionly it beeps And The loading circle comes up over the Apple and disappears again. I can't find a solution.

    It was an 8GB model, and it was jailbroken. Ive tried Holding down the power/menu buttons and letting the battery

    run out. It was bought in New York, so returning it will be a large problem. Any suggestions?

    I'm going to a friends house tomorrow to see if his iTunes will recognize my iPod.
