    No need to worry. They are probably only the new house break in prevention unit. They sit at the back of your house for ages and then catch real criminals doing real crimes. Great idea. Kinda like when they sit on the side of a straight , open ,safe stretch of road catching people speeding only this time they catch real criminals.

    Presumably the fancy camera was a smal black 'box' mounted on the bootlid - this is an ANPR device!

    The camera is mounted on the boot? I reckon someone will steal it very soon!

    EDIT: Then probably put it up on youtube and be caught that way!

    That apparently is infrared which gives the rear facing camera night time capabilities...;)

    Yeah i saw one on an unmarked mondeo in tipperary lately.I thought they'd at least hide it in the boot panel a bit? Let's hope it falls off when they go through the car wash...

    Hard(er) enough spot them, strobes mounted in the grill rather than on the side of the bumpers and no additional aerils iirc. There is a dark grey one around also

    Yup, all the new unmarked are looking alot better! You cant see the lights on the cars anymore, aerials are not mounted on the wing mirrors too! Saw an unmarked car drive past me with a GAA sticker on the back, some other weird “keep back/mafia/joke” sticker too!

    Unless you have the ability to tax your car etc while driving (for people drivign without I mean), by the time you see it it'll be too late anyway.:)
