Any other boardsies disappointed by a product that promises something and just doesn't deliver... at all?!

I recently got the Neutrogena Wave which claims to give your skin a deep clean. Well mine doesn't foam up anything like in the ad and I actually find the vibrating hurts on certain parts of my face! Also the cleanser really dried out my skin and made it feel taut and stiff.

The Ped-Egg. The blades on this are so soft they couldn't cut butter. Very disappointing.

    +1
I completely bought into the hype of this product because it was everywhere when i was in the states last year so when it came her i had to get one. It only rally works properly in the shower for me otherwise i can't get it to foam up at all, very disappointing result TBH.
I have to use plenty of moisturiser afterwards as well which i think just clogs up my pores again and the defeats the exercise completely.

I also bought into the eye roll-on from garnier - yet to see any kind of results.

Lip Injection lip gloss... stings the hell out of your lips and just makes them red not plumper!

also, i used to always buy the same Dior Lipgloss and everytime I bought it, it leaked all over my handbags. never happened with any other lipgloss other then Dior

Sounds as if you might be allergic to the active ingredient in that lip gloss!

    Neutrogena Wave

Am I the only one who thought this was a "personal massager" disguised as a face cleansing tool?

    :pac:

I seen this video on a blog somewhere recently and thought it was an interesting take on the whole beauty industry thing. Can't embed it though so take a look if you are interested.

I like the Wave, if you use hottish water it foams up, for me anyway. And it leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft.

Would have to agree on the mascara front, I have yet to find one that actually lives up to any expectations :(

I'm SO dissapointed with the wave.. It didnt foam up at all and actually think it made me break out in a few spots.. But if you put a bit of exfoliator on the wave pad and use it then as normal your skin really does come up great.

As for mascara, anyone looking for one to live up to its expectations definatly get the vibrating Lancome one. Its fab!..

I think the main problem with the wave is the formula they are using it seems harsh and drying to your skin.
I have also been let down by numerous mascaras - lesson i have learned is don't believe the hype.
Only thing i love are my GHDs

I often buy the latest mascara out on offer in Boots, and always end up going back to Maybelline Lash Express in the black tube or Clinque superlash. Rimmel sexy curves made my eyelashes look like a black fungus was growing on them! :(

Nearly all "miracle" acne washes do feck all except burn :O

In fairness, you could tell that the Neutrogena thing was going to be a dud. No need to spend any money there.

Women's razors are a big fat waste of money. The guard wires just clog up and replacement blades are stupid expensive. You're much better off buying disposable razors.

The only hyped product that I've found to work is Max Factor's Masterpiece Mascara. Great stuff and my favourite.

Dunno about the guard wires, the ones I use don't have them, but to get more life out of your razors, by cleaning them in an ultrasonic cleaner (you can get them for around €35 in Maplin and they also clean jewellery really really well) you can quadruple their life span.

I'm not a big fan of disposable razors, especially those whose head doesn't pivot.

It leaves my skin dry unless I use it after Clinique cleanser. After any other cleanser it's just not nice.

Ooh Love this stuff! I put it on last thing, dot it on along cheekbones and under brow bones and pat in with fingers... also for the top of the cupids bow and the middle of the nose to make it look slimmer.

    OR!!!

Mix it in with your liquid foundation to give it a pearlescent luminous glow!!

Don't let it sit in the drawer!

I like the Wave too, makes my skin very soft and it foams up fine if you rub it a bit!

The best mascara I've ever used is a Dior mascara. It was the only one that didn't clump on me and it had a gorgeous big brush. Haven't been able to afford a new one though... :(
