Is there anyone you work with who you get on well with? If so then maybe you could see if they want to hang out some time. It's not easy to make friends tbh. Is there anything you are interested in or any kind of class you might enjoy?

    Thanks for the reply...

everyone I work with is 20+ most of them are foreign and don't have good english...

you see my interest since I was about 12 was going out at the weekend getting hammered and causing trouble which has gotten me in serious trouble but im putting that behind me...

I like art...especially graffiti and street art, movies, concerts, graphic design and stuff like that I have never really had a hobby:confused:

Hmm... I'm sure FAS do graphic design courses. You should look into it. You'd meet plenty of people through that and also get to do something that you enjoy. As for concerts, unless you're over 18, there really aren't many but sometimes they have underage gigs in the Temple Bar music centre.

I'd have a look at part time art or graphic design courses. FAS and a lot of CDVEC colleges would do part time ones.

you should see if there are any youth groups in your area that you could join. One of my friends moved to dublin to live with gran after living in uk. found it really hard to make friends. he joined scouts which is where we met and now has a really good group of friends our age from it. also met his gf. You said you aren't interested in sports etc so maybe youth club would be better, or else volunteering of some sort. The IFI is my favourite cinema in dublin, it's in temple bar.

Well, suggestion, how about you get back to work on the old leaving cert and go to a tech college? Because the only other place where kids your age are besides school is either working a family biz or rehab, and if you're not in a rehab, you should avoid getting bored and depressed enough to put yourself in one. Obviously you were smart enough to make it in school to 16, so you're not an idiot. Do yourself a favour, get your arse back in school and you won't be moaning about having no friends, silly.
