more than likely the HDD which is in Peats....its a multi media Hard disk (500GB and 1TB options)

you can get the 1TB Pro which gives you a remote - but doesnt have a scart connection.

The enclosure wouldnt be too cheap.. It'd need to have a video processor in it, as well as funcionality to view the files and seclect one...
Its not just a matter of an enclosure with a scart connection on it..

I dont even know is such enclosures are available..
You'd be best to hook a laptop up to the screen via VGA or something...
You can get VGA to Composite video connectors fairly cheap. Got one myself on deal exteme a while back.

If you want to be able to play directly from a hard drive youll have to invest in on of the ones PCPhoto was talking about..
One appears on ibood every now and then..

Popcorn Hour is one sort of media hd playback unit.

A friend has this and he says it's great. I've been kinda interested in getting one for a while but haven't got around to it yet. Seems there is a stock issue with it because it's so popular. It's got its own bittorrent client built in! Connected to your network on one side and to your HDMI TV input on the other.

or Western Digitals WD TV looks like great value - http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/1778320/art/western-digital/wd-hd-tv-media-player-wit.html

... and gets great reviews too....it's 1080p too.
