I have a 01 Fiesta, same model as in photo and the wheel is underneath the car. A major pain, especially if your female (my girlfriend). can be tough getting it out.

From what I remember, the 02 on model has it stored under the boot carpet, and there's room for a full size wheel.

It has its advantages, not having to empty the boot when changing the tyre is one.

Some cars use a winch system with a steel cable that's hooked around the spare wheel centre, a nut near the boot opening is wound around, the spare wheel drops to the ground, you unhook it, hook the other wheel back on and wind it back up. much cleaner than bringing a dirty wheel in the boot.

It is cleaner but i don't fancy it on a wet night. What i did was get a nylon wheelcover and carry in boot. But it does take up space and i want to get a car with a space in the boot or better still the little narrow spare wheel. Not sure what they are called

What about the stuff you spray on would that get you home?

1.25 is a far nicer engine than 1.3 in the Fiesta, aim for a Zetec or Ghia model, don't bother with base models.

OK The one i am looking at the 2,700 euro is 1.25 Zetec. Given it is a zetec how low could i go? 1500? I will be going to dealer tomorrow morning

I do not know much about pricing and appreciate your advice
